Biologics for chronic inflammatory diseases

Biologics for chronic inflammatory diseases, such as moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, were a true advance. With their advent, the provider's treatment plan for their patient was no longer just about managing symptoms, but about potentially putting the disease into clinical remission by inhibiting specifically targeted biochemical pathways of inflammation.²
